Groundworking

Between August and October 2014, The Demolition Project spent time with DIG Collective’s Hole Story project, getting to know the inside of the Hole and its surroundings. Our recordings, explorations and meditations were ended when the Hole was filled in by DIG Collective and others on 5 October. However, they resulted in the making of Groundworking, a tour of a Hole that no longer exists. The tour acts as a memorial to the Hole, an evocation of its absence and an afterlife for it. Suggested places to listen are: on top of a hill, in a wide open space, on the upper storey of a tall building, anywhere else convenient, or anywhere inconvenient.
